Booth Gardner launched his political career in 1981, serving as Pierce County's first elected county executive. This was followed by one term in the Washington state senate. In 1985, Gardner was elected the 19th governor of Washington Sate. During his tenure, he led the way on several fronts, including education reform, health care reform and transportation. His record also demonstrated his commitment to environmental and trade issues. Upon leaving the governor's office, Gardner was appointed U.S. Ambassador to the World Trade Organization (formerly known as GATT) in 1995. Before entering politics, he was the president of the Laird Norton Company for 11 years. Gardner was a member of Weyerhaeuser's Board of Directors and is currently active on several corporate and community boards, including Washington Mutual, the University of Puget Sound, Puget Sound Bank, and the Northwest Parkinson's Foundation. Gardner received a BA from the University of Washington and earned a master's in business administration from Harvard University.
Robert HoganMr. Hogan is a thirty-five year industry veteran whose experience includes President and co-founder of TeleAmerica, which grew to over $50 million in revenues and was later part of a sale to Pacific Bell. Bob later was co-founder of TCI, a telecom equipment company which was sold to Inter-tel (NASDAQ: INTL), was a co-founder and held a senior management position responsible for acquisitions with Expanets, a voice and data distribution company with over $1 billion in revenues which was later sold to Avaya (NYSE: AV). Bob holds a bachelors degree in Finance from Seattle University.
Stephen Perry is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Claritage, a private equity firm based in New York and Tokyo which was organized to capitalize on selective investment opportunities in the U.S. and Asia. Prior to founding Claritage, Mr. Perry was a Managing Director at Kirkland Investors LLC, a private equity investment firm in New York, and a Director at Alliance Gaming Corporation. Prior to joining Kirkland, Mr. Perry was one of the founding partners of a group of partnerships that evolved to become Signature Resorts, a vacation ownership developer which was founded in 1992 and grew from a start-up to a firm with sales of over $500 million and a market capitalization of approximately $1 billion by 1998. Mr. Perry was also employed with Trammell Crow and the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs. Mr. Perry received his MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and completed his undergraduate education at Harvard University. He is also a Trustee of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business Trust, an advisor to the W.E.B. DuBois Institute of Harvard University, and a member of the James Madison Council, a private sector advisory body to the Library of Congress.
